Peel Wraparound Process - Developmental Services is a community-based outreach service for families whose complex mental health and developmental issues have not been met with previous services or programs.

The wraparound process works with the family to strengthen their resources, skills, and links to their natural support systems within the community, and to develop the parents' skills to manage their children's needs.

After assessing the family's needs and strengths, the wraparound process helps the family develop and implement a plan to meet their needs. The family chooses a team of people to support them, such as: * members of the family, * friends, * mental health workers, * developmental service workers, * people from the community.

Wraparound provides unconditional care and commitment. If things do not work out as planned, the wraparound process does not stop; instead, a new plan is developed to meet the needs of the child and family.
