| Description | African Community Services of Peel (ACS) is a registered, non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving Black/African and newcomer communities throughout the Peel Region, including Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon. Established in 1993, ACS offers culturally responsive programs and services designed to support youth, families, women, seniors, and newcomers. Our initiatives focus on settlement support, wellness, leadership development, education, and active community engagement. Our services: Newcomer settlement and integration services Youth outreach and youth development programs Enhanced Youth Outreach Worker (EYOW) support Leadership and mentorship programs for youth Mental health and wellness support Community wellness and development programs Women and families support programs Violence Against Women support services Seniors’ programs and recreational activities Volunteer engagement and leadership opportunities Homework clubs and after-school programs March Break and Summer camps for children Employment readiness and life skills support Housing and community resource referrals Legal education and justice awareness workshops Digital literacy and computer training Community advocacy and culturally responsive support services |
